This article will show you how to add an alternate email address as an extra authentication method (MFA) for signing in with your NSULA account in a few quick and easy steps: 1. Navigate to aka.ms/setupsecurityinfo in your web browser. Click "Add method". 2. Click on the drop-down. Click "Email". 3. Click "Add". 4. Enter the email address you would like to use. Ensure it is a third party email account (Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, non-university Outlook account, etc.). Click "Next". 5. Check your email for a code you will need to activate this MFA method. The title of the email sent to me was "Northwestern State University account email verification code". The code will be a 6-digit number in bold. 6. Enter the code in the next window. Click "Next". 7. Make sure your email shows as a sign-in method. You're done! | |
