Adding extra apps on an NSU Mac or MacBook

Our Macs and MacBooks on campus have a selection of extra applications available to be installed with no administrator credentials necessary. This selection includes Microsoft Teams, Google Chrome, VMware Horizon View, and more.

To access the self-service app portal, use the Launchpad found in the Dock:

Then, use the search box near the top of the screen to search for self. On NSU-provided computers, there should be an app called Self-service:

Starting the Self-service app will show a selection of optional apps and allow you to install them yourself with no administrator password required. Please let us know with a support request if you encounter any issues during this process or need any extra assistance.
